The Audiophile Society is proud to announce the long-awaited remastered re-release of the classic album The New York Chorinhos-a vibrant fusion of Brazilian tradition and modern jazz, featuring two virtuoso artists: Grammy-nominated composer and pianist David Chesky and the world-renowned Brazilian guitarist Romero Lubambo.
This newly reissued version includes 16 original Chorinhos composed by David Chesky, offering a bold and deeply musical interpretation of Brazil's beloved form through a distinctly New York jazz lens.
Originally recorded in New York City with audiophile precision, The New York Chorinhos redefined the Chorinho by infusing it with harmonic sophistication, rhythmic complexity, and improvisational freedom. Chesky and Lubambo created a sound both rooted in tradition and fearlessly original.
"This project was about taking the elegance and rhythm of Brazilian Chorinhos and giving it a New York jazz attitude," says Chesky. "It's intimate, energetic, and entirely alive."
